GO is the oldest board game in the world. Thanks to its simple rules even small children can learn it easily. Go is played all over the world, at the top level mainly in Eastern Asia (Japan, China, Korea).

In the Czech republic the players are associated in the Czech Go Association (CAGo). Tournaments are held all over the country. They are also many clubs where players can meet (mostly once a week). Players can be awarded a grade ranging from 20 kyu to 1 kyu, and from 1 Dan to 6 Dan.

You can play go on internet too. There are servers at which the players from the whole world meet and play every day. It is also possible to download the game records (including professional games) and the software necessary for viewing them.
